The Gatehunter SLS5 Frame disigned by Dave.C
The Gatehunter SLS (Super Light Specification) does not share any parts with its bigger brother the RS. It an extreme lightweight frame that was designed for setups around 200 gram w/o LiPo. While the design principle is similar, the arms and bottom plate are slimmer and only 4mm thick instead of 5 on the RS.
The light weight of these setups have a major advantage when in comes to amp draw. Due to the lower amp draw compared to a regular 5" setup that is easily 100g heavier you have way less battery sag and can use older or cheaper packs without any problems. I personally use my old 1300mah 4S 75C Tattu LiPos that start to really heavily sag on other setups but fly absolutely fine on this one. Generally anything between 850mah and 1300mah 4S will fly great.
I was pretty surprised that the stock Betaflight PIDs worked great on the SLS. Feels super reactive and is seriously fast.
The kit included an addiotional arm. The frame kit can be ordered with or without TPU printing parts. You will find the printing files here
